The 2009 Path of Success seminar will be held at the Ithaca High School auditorium on Saturday, September 12, from 10am to 4pm. This is a seminar designed for middle and high school students, featuring Alfred Watts—a national motivational speaker, Cornell University graduate, pastor, and attorney. He will be sharing his experiences with academic and personal success in six interactive messages described below. The seminar is free with lunch and snacks provided. Parents and guardians are welcome.

STUDENT CONNECTIONS
Since the very successful Path of Success seminar at Ithaca High in September 2008—with around 100 students attending—we have been working with the Ithaca Youth Bureau, Young Life, the Espresso Self lounge and Cornell student groups to connect high school and middle school students with local college friends and role models. We hope to effect the plans and future life achievements of local high school kids in a big way.
Each Fall over the last several years, the Village at Ithaca and other sponsors (CFP included) brings the dynamic and engaging Path of Success academic and leadership seminar, featuring Cornell alumnus Alfred Watts. The annual full-day seminar is designed for students in 8th grade and up—to motivate, affirm, inform and inspire. The messages are titled: Tapping the Spirit Within, Renewing Your Mind, Dream Big Dreams, Mastering the Art of Goal Setting, Character vs Personality: Who Are You? and Daring to be Different. Several students have enjoyed the seminar enough to take it a second time in recent years.
