More can be accomplished together than alone, both individually and within the church. We are a network of Christians with a vision for serving our neighbors. We're only limited by the number of volunteers who join us. We hope to see this vision grow as more volunteers make that possible.

OUR VOLUNTEER PROGRAMS

Together with the Sheriff, Social Services and other agencies, we work to stop the revolving door of the jail. The men and women at the Tompkins County jail need someone to care, counsel, pray and encourage them as they re-establish their lives after release. We partner with the Village at Ithaca, Ithaca Youth Bureau, Young Life and other campus organizations to connect high school and middle school students with local college students. The idea is to build friendships which encourage growth of character, academic achievement, career discovery and the fulfillment of dreams. MORE...

The CARE (Construction and Repair Experts) Network exists to help widows, older residents and others in need to maintain the physical condition of their homes and avoid escalating repair costs. Pastors may call on us to give timely advice, volunteer-based strategies, and smart referrals to professional services as that is appropriate. We want to help create that ounce of prevention. SPECIAL PROJECTS

We have helped to organize community events between congregations. We have produced and distributed "Christmas Message" lawn-signs and car magnets. If you have a vision for how the church can be more effective, we should talk.
