We are looking for Christian men and women who are willing to befriend local jail inmates. Call Jim Crawford for information @ 347-4393.
Almost from the beginning of the Faith Partnership, men and women volunteers have visited the county jail to share their Christian faith and build relationships. Our goal is to promote Christian faith as the cornerstone of successful re-entry into the community, recovery from addictions, and ability to lead meaningful and productive lives. In cooperation with the Sheriff, Social Services, and other agencies, we work to stop the revolving door of incarceration.
There are also people needing help in our neighborhoods who have never been to jail. We work with individuals one-on-one to answer their questions about Christian faith, help them find a congregation they can become a meaningful part of, and help them build vital friendships with people who can offer consistent community-based support.
We also offer Holistic Hardware life-skills training to teach individuals the practical ways faith, relationships, self-discipline and other personal habits can transform their lives.
